Dessert pen device IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Dessert in San José: 7 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Dessert is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Dessert pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long dessert tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a dessert pen device really costs in San José
Dessert pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested dessert in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every dessert bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long dessert in San José survives.
- Mixing dessert with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
