Dessert 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Dessert in San José: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a 30 ml shortfill for dessert
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run dessert the same way in San José: same 30 ml shortfill, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a dessert 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested dessert in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long dessert in San José survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for dessert in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | ₡32 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡2.58 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does dessert in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 5 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
Is dessert legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
