Dessert 100 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Dessert in San José: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a 100 ml bottle for dessert
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run dessert the same way in San José: same 100 ml bottle, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the 100 ml bottle you buy decides how long dessert tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a dessert 100 ml bottle really costs in San José
Dessert in San José reaches the shelf in 100 ml bottle formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested dessert in a 100 ml bottle
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.63 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 100 ml bottle.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.63 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does dessert in a 100 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 2 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
