Cream box mod IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Cream in San José: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Cream box mod here
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on cream: 22 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: cream in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cream box mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested cream in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cream bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a cream bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where cream goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cream in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Packaging for cream in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cream the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.79 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.79 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡42 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.

In San José we measured 9 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
