Cream 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Cream in San José: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Cream in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on cream: 12 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long cream tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cream 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.14 per 10 ml.
How we tested cream in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a cream bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cream bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cream goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.14 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cream in San José survives.

Frequently asked questions
Why does cream taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the cream blend itself harsh.
Is cream legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
What nicotine strength should cream start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
