Cream 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Cream in San José: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a 30 ml shortfill for cream
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.63 per 10 ml.
A cream 30 ml shortfill from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.63 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cream 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
If you are looking at cream in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 30 ml shortfill you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested cream in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cream bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where cream goes wrong
- Mixing cream with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.63 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cream tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On cream the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.63 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does cream taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the cream blend itself harsh.
