Cola in San José: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.39 per 10 ml.
A cola vape pen from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.39 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: cola in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola vape pen really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested cola in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where cola goes wrong
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.39 per 10 ml.
