Cola in San José: 14 units tested over 6 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
We run cola the same way in San José: same vape pen, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.7 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a cola vape pen really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested cola in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
