Cola 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Cola in San José: 8 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cola habit
A cola 60 ml bottle from the starter options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.44 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
We run cola the same way in San José: same 60 ml bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested cola in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where cola goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing cola with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for cola in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does cola in a 60 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 3 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should cola start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 60 ml bottle.
Why does cola taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cola blend itself harsh.
