Cola 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Cola in San José: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the cola habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run cola the same way in San José: same 60 ml bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: cola in San José works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
We run cola the same way in San José: same 60 ml bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested cola in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cola goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.78 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cola tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
