Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Cola prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.86 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long cola tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cola 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Cola in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested cola in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cola bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cola goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.86 per 10 ml.
