Coffee squonk mod IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Coffee in San José: 9 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What coffee costs in San José
The honest read on coffee: 9 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee squonk mod really costs in San José
Coffee squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested coffee in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.0 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
