Coconut squonk mod IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Coconut in San José: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the coconut habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The honest read on coconut: 19 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long coconut tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coconut squonk mod really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested coconut in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.92 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
