Coconut prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Coconut in San José: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a prefilled pod for coconut
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Coconut in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long coconut tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coconut prefilled pod really costs in San José

How we tested coconut in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coconut in San José survives.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On coconut the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.85 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does coconut taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the coconut blend itself harsh.
