Coconut pod kit IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Coconut in San José: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the coconut habit
We run coconut the same way in San José: same pod kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long coconut tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coconut pod kit really costs in San José
Coconut in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested coconut in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a coconut bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coconut tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for coconut in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Costa Rica |

| Entry kit | ₡55 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡3.35 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
