Citrus zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in San José: the price shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Citrus in San José: 9 units tested over 2 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you are looking at citrus in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the zero-nicotine bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus zero-nicotine bottle really costs in San José
Citrus in San José reaches the shelf in zero-nicotine bottle formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested citrus in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for zero-nicotine bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
