Citrus vape pen IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Citrus in San José: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Citrus in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: citrus in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus vape pen really costs in San José
The honest read on citrus: 18 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.14 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for citrus in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.14 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
How long does citrus in a vape pen last?
In San José we measured 4 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
