Citrus RDA IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Citrus in San José: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Citrus is allowed to say
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus RDA really costs in San José
The honest read on citrus: 20 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
