Home / Citrus prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist

Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

Citrus in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.

The short version: citrus in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a citrus prefilled pod really costs in San José

A citrus prefilled pod from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.12 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.

How we tested citrus in a prefilled pod

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
3. Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.

• Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
• A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
• The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
• Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.

Where citrus goes wrong

• Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
• Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
• Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

The rules that apply here

Packaging for citrus in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
