Citrus pod kit IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Citrus in San José: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a pod kit for citrus
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.86 per 10 ml.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus pod kit really costs in San José
Citrus in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested citrus in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
