Citrus mesh tank IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Citrus in San José: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Citrus is allowed to say
Citrus in San José reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.18 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus mesh tank really costs in San José
Citrus mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested citrus in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
