Citrus 100 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Citrus in San José: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Citrus 100 ml bottle here
We run citrus the same way in San José: same 100 ml bottle, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus 100 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: citrus in San José works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus 100 ml bottle really costs in San José
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.48 per 10 ml.
How we tested citrus in a 100 ml bottle
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is citrus legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.48 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
