Cherry starter kit IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Cherry in San José: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a starter kit for cherry
Cherry sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
A cherry starter kit from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested cherry in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.26 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
