Cherry pod kit IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Cherry in San José: 10 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with cherry in Costa Rica
We run cherry the same way in San José: same pod kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.07 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry pod kit really costs in San José
The honest read on cherry: 10 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested cherry in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
