Cherry cartomizer IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Cherry in San José: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
A cherry cartomizer from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.94 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry cartomizer really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested cherry in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every cherry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in San José survives.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.94 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
