Caramel 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Caramel in San José: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a 30 ml shortfill for caramel
Caramel in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Caramel 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
A caramel 30 ml shortfill from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.11 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested caramel in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for caramel in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.11 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡38 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
