Candy vape pen IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Candy in San José: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What candy costs in San José
Candy vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Candy in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long candy tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a candy vape pen really costs in San José
We run candy the same way in San José: same vape pen, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested candy in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where candy goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long candy in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should candy start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.38 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
