Candy refill pack IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Candy in San José: 7 units tested over 4 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Candy refill pack here
A candy refill pack from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.09 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Candy prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.09 per 10 ml.
The short version: candy in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy refill pack really costs in San José
The honest read on candy: 7 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested candy in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where candy goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing candy with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for candy in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?

Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
