Candy nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Candy in San José: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
Candy in a nicotine salt bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: candy in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Candy in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested candy in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where candy goes wrong
- Mixing candy with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.02 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
