Candy cartomizer IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Candy in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
Candy in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A candy cartomizer from the reviewed options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.96 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: candy in San José works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a candy cartomizer really costs in San José
We run candy the same way in San José: same cartomizer, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested candy in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where candy goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long candy in San José survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
