Candy 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Candy in San José: 23 units tested over 2 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the candy habit
A candy 60 ml bottle from the starter options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: candy in San José works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested candy in a 60 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where candy goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 60 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How much does a 60 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.6 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡41 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
