Blackcurrant vape pen IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Blackcurrant in San José: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Blackcurrant is allowed to say
Blackcurrant in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant vape pen really costs in San José
The honest read on blackcurrant: 9 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested blackcurrant in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.08 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
