Blackcurrant starter kit IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Blackcurrant in San José: 24 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
We run blackcurrant the same way in San José: same starter kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on blackcurrant: 24 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant starter kit really costs in San José
Blackcurrant in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested blackcurrant in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
