Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
A blackcurrant refill pack from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.53 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.53 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant refill pack really costs in San José
If you are looking at blackcurrant in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested blackcurrant in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
