Blackcurrant pen device IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Blackcurrant in San José: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What blackcurrant costs in San José
A blackcurrant pen device from the starter options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.93 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a blackcurrant pen device really costs in San José
Blackcurrant in San José reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested blackcurrant in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Treating the advertised ₡41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.93 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for blackcurrant in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
