What the label on Blackcurrant is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A blackcurrant 10 ml bottle from the reviewed options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.11 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 10 ml bottle you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested blackcurrant in a 10 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.

On the last run in San José: about ₡2.11 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡54 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On blackcurrant the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.11 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
