Berry sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Berry in San José: 19 units tested over 8 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Berry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.87 per 10 ml.
Berry in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long berry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a berry sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested berry in a sub-ohm kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every berry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where berry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing berry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for berry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should berry start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a sub-ohm kit.
Is berry legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How long does berry in a sub-ohm kit last?
In San José we measured 8 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
