Berry starter kit IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Berry in San José: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Berry starter kit here
If you are looking at berry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run berry the same way in San José: same starter kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: berry in San José works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a berry starter kit really costs in San José
Berry starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested berry in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every berry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a berry bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where berry goes wrong
- Mixing berry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.2 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Packaging for berry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does berry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the berry blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On berry the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.2 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
