Berry RDA IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Berry in San José: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a RDA for berry
Berry RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on berry: 7 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long berry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a berry RDA really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested berry in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a berry bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where berry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for berry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.87 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡67 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On berry the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.87 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does berry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the berry blend itself harsh.
