Berry nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Berry in San José: 23 units tested over 9 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the berry habit
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long berry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a berry nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Berry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.92 per 10 ml.
How we tested berry in a nicotine salt bottle
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every berry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where berry goes wrong
- Mixing berry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.92 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
