Apple refill pack IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Apple in San José: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
Apple sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.2 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested apple in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.

On the last run in San José: about ₡2.2 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡28 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
