Apple RDA IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Apple in San José: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
If you are looking at apple in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Apple in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple RDA really costs in San José
A apple RDA from the online options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.93 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested apple in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where apple goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.93 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
