Apple pen device IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Apple in San José: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Apple in San José reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you are looking at apple in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: apple in San José works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple pen device really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested apple in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where apple goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.64 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
