Apple pen device IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Apple in San José: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Apple pen device here
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Apple in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a apple pen device really costs in San José

How we tested apple in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
