Apple disposable vape IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Apple in San José: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, disposable vape formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What apple costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
A apple disposable vape from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.02 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the disposable vape you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple disposable vape really costs in San José
Apple in a disposable vape is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested apple in a disposable vape
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a disposable vape arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a disposable vape and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.

Frequently asked questions
How long does apple in a disposable vape last?
In San José we measured 6 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should apple start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a disposable vape.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the disposable vape units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
