Apple 10 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Apple in San José: 8 units tested over 7 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the apple habit
The honest read on apple: 8 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A apple 10 ml bottle from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.97 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: apple in San José works if the 10 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested apple in a 10 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where apple goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.97 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
